The first ever International Paramedics Day is on 8 July 2022, launched by the College of Paramedics to showcase the vital work by paramedics, first responders and support staff in the UK and around the world.
Over the past year we have helped support over 80 London Ambulance Service colleagues, this includes paramedics, emergency call handlers, ambulatory doctors across North West London boroughs.
Chloe Schneider, Keeping Well NWL Clinical Lead says: “Today is about recognising the work carried out by paramedics, first responders and the staff that support them. Over the past two years we have offered free, confidential psychological support to staff working in the London Ambulance Service. The work they do is vital and I’m pleased our team can support them and their wellbeing when they need it most.”
We have recently hosted a range of wellbeing sessions for staff working in London Ambulance Service.
If you work for the London Ambulance Service, you can find work-related support on our website here.
Last year we featured Ben, an Emergency Dispatcher for the East of England Ambulance Service, read his story to learn more about the support you can receive from us.
