Good Thinking, an NHS-approved digital wellbeing service, will be hosting a live webinar on 30 November 2021, 1pm-2pm, to launch the new ‘Coping with trauma’ workbook.
The workbook has been co-created with Caroline Harrison, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist at the Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and has been designed to support people experiencing trauma or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as well as professionals working with and supporting those experiencing trauma.
The Coping with Trauma workbook is there to support people who may already be awaiting therapy as well as those considering therapy, as a complementary resource to support them on their journey.
The workbook describes seven techniques to help people who have experienced trauma but who are out of danger now, including; grounding across the five senses; body movement; image rescripting; and updating.
