Lina’s story
Lina is an NHS occupational therapist.
She used Keeping Well in an attempt to put her life on track and re-establish her goals. She was referred quickly and had her first session booked within days.
She says:
I believe one of the biggest steps is identifying that you need support, and asking for that help. Using services like Keeping Well gives you an opportunity to break down some of the challenges you are facing and put your mental well-being first. I still meet my therapist each week and my confidence has definitely increased, I feel I am moving forward with my life, whereas before I felt I had put it on hold.
Nathalie’s story
Nathalie is an NHS midwife.
Recently, she had been under a lot of stress and struggled to find a balance between her heavy workload and challenges in her personal life. She’d tried private psychiatrists, but didn’t feel she was helped to handle the stress and pressure she was under.
48 hours after contacting Keeping Well, she was referred to the service and she says:
I’ve had seven sessions with an IAPT specialist which transformed the way I think about stress. It’s helped me regain my confidence which means I can approach my work with a more positive mindset.
Never wait for help. Reach out. Services like Keeping Well work. It’s vital we look after ourselves as well as others.”
